Very happy with my Ottoman bed & Kensington mattress from Beds By Design, which we received about a week ago. We needed a new mattress, and keen to have a better storage option, splashed out on the bed of my dreams, which was made to order, with a lead time of around 6 weeks. The Ottoman is handsome; extremely sturdy and very well built; this bed will last forever! The mattress is very comfortable and of excellent quality. Everything about this purchase was perfect, from the great showroom experience to final delivery & assembly of the products, and disposal of our old bed. It’s a pleasure to support and recommend a local company that’s offering great products and service. Many thanks to all!
Beds by design was excellent from the moment I walked into the showroom. No pressure to buy just good advice. Delivery guys were spot on and followed up on the phone to check all was ok !! I would recommend and although I don’t think I will need another bed soon I would buy from them again.

I bought a bed from these guys a couple of years ago, it’s the sturdiest bed I’ve ever had! It was made with the material I chose, amazing quality, and brilliant mattress too.. I went here as my mum has bought several beds for her home, and wouldnt recommend anywhere else but here! The bed was huge and very heavy, the got it up my stairs with a turn half way, and built it all up for us.. thank you 🙂
I recently purchased the Richmond mattress from Beds by Design Ltd, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience and the product itself. Before discovering Beds by Design Ltd, I had visited several generic retail park mattress stores and left feeling unimpressed. The customer service was lacking, the mattresses felt mediocre at best, and the prices were exorbitant. Thankfully, a friend recommended Beds by Design Ltd after having a great experience with their bed and mattress a year ago. Their recommendation was spot on and it was well worth the drive over from North Yorkshire. From the moment I walked into the store, Mike’s customer service stood out. He was fully attentive without being pushy, making the entire process comfortable and enjoyable. He even offered me a cup of tea! Knowing I had major surgery scheduled for the 18th of October, I placed my order on the 4th. Mike went above and beyond by personally delivering and installing the mattress on the 21st while I was still in hospital. Thanks to this thoughtful service, I came home on the 22nd to a high-quality, supportive mattress, which made all the difference during my recovery. The Richmond is a latex mattress, and I opted for the additional edge supports built into the design. Having now used it for two months during my surgery recovery phase, I can confidently say this mattress is outstanding. It is incredibly comfortable, highly supportive, and has significantly improved my sleep quality compared to my previous cheap hybrid mattress. You get what you pay for and it was worth every penny and still substantially less expensive than what I saw in retail park stores. The quality is unparalleled, and you can tell it’s handcrafted with care by Mike and his team. The mattress has exceeded all my expectations. I highly recommend anyone in the market for a new bed or mattress visit Beds by Design Ltd in person. Their website listings don’t showcase the full range of handmade products available in-store, and the experience is something you won’t get elsewhere. Impeccable service! Storing my bed until I’ve decorated… no problem! Wool mattress an absolute dream! Thee best pillow ever! Why would I go anywhere else? I’ve even bought a pillow for each of my grown up kids… I doubt they’ll ever need to buy another! 😍
I called in to Beds By Design looking for a low profile king sized bed for my attic room. The team were immediately very helpful and we talked through both my requirements and options. Just over a week later they delivered and installed my custom made Divan bed. The base was designed as four separate pieces so it was easy to carry through the house. Delivery was also in the evening so there was no need for me to take time off work. Excellent customer service and great value for money, highly recommend.

A beautiful bed frame found especially for my needs and budget. The mattress is worth every penny and the comfiest most luxurious bed I’ve ever had. Having previously used and loved Beckside Bed Company I was unnerved when I realised the store had changed hands. We have 3 of their wonderful beds. Nevertheless Mike gave us a warm welcome and explained his pedigree. He also explained their mattresses are made using the same methods and materials, just incorporating some minor modifications to bring them up to date. I was very nervous about ordering, particularly as they didnt yet have what we needed in store as they were selling off all the old stock. No problem Mike said, come back next weekend. We did and he had made the mattress he thought we needed. Mike was very patient with our extended mattress trying (and our small people) and we ordered the mattress. It was delivered 4 days later (10 days from us popping in) and its bliss. Not only is it like a cloud, but its reduced my back pain hugely. They have fabulous pillows and duvets too, not to mention beds. I have asthma so the fact that it’s all natural and hasn’t been hanging around in a factory for months gathering dust is a huge bonus. Fab service and fab product – highly recommended.

We bought a mattress from Mike at Beds By Design and was such a pleasure working with and a great price and super comfy gone back now for a bespoke made to measure mattress for my camper van thanks Mike.
I doubt anyone could have solved our bed problem other than Mike. We live locally so were aware of Beckside Bed’s (Previous Company Name) bespoke service and we had an awkward problem. We needed a bed base made to an exact, non standard size, to fit into an existing bed frame and with the head higher than to foot. Mike came out to discuss the project and, after much measuring, produced exactly what we required that fitted like a glove. We spent a jolly morning testing mattresses in his premises and our new bed is a vast improvement on the old one. Doing this all in the space of two weeks was equally impressive. So well done Mike and thanks for your expertise and personal service.

Nipped up to the showroom to try and find a mattress for my little lads bed, Mike was really helpful and had a good selection to choose from. The beds here also look great quality. I’d say if you’re in the market for one this place is well worth a look!!!
